Gareth Frank Bale was born on 16 July 1989 in Cardiff, Wales and decided to be a footballer in childhood. According to Bale's own words, Gareth grew fond of football when he was three and always asked his father to go and train with him to the park.

Gareth Bale played for the U-18 team of his school when he was 16, helped them to lift the Cardiff & Vale Senior Cup and was awarded the Wales PE department prize. The same year Manchester United wanted to buy the player, but their offer was not accepted.

In April 2006 Gareth Bale moved to Southampton and became the second youngest footballer who ever played for 'The Saints' in the official match.

In 2007 Bale signed for London side Tottenham Hotspur and was included in the first team at once. A knee injury prevented him from becoming a regular and Gareth began the new season on the substitutes’ bench. Now we can say it was the worst period in his Tottenham career: as soon as Bale recovered from the injury, he got another one and was left without football for a long time.

After Gareth Bale got rid of traumas, he tried to get his place in the main squad back and was let on the pitch in January 2010.

The 2010/2011 season was better than the previous ones, as Gareth started to contribute league goals. On 29 September 2010, Bale got on the Champions League scoresheet.

Injuries haunted Gareth during almost entire second half of 2010/2011 season and he also had to miss the 2012 Olympic tournament in London.

After a brilliant performance in the season 2012/2013 Bale became the hottest football aim for top European clubs and after long negotiations he completed a move to Real Madrid in what turned out to be the record deal worth around €100m.

SERGIO RAMOS BIOGRAPHY.

Sergio Ramos was born on March 30, 1986 in one of the towns of the Spanish province of Seville. Sergio began climbing the football Olympus at the age of 14. It was then when he came on trial to the local Sevilla FC and showed himself as a very tenacious and competent defender. And it was then that he joined the youth team and began to appear on the pitch regularly.

In 2004, Sergio Ramos was promoted to the team’s main squad where he played 25 matches and managed to score once. Same year Sergio made his first debut in La Liga and became the UEFA Euro U19 champion. At the end of the next season he was awarded La Liga Breakthrough Player of the Year.

In March 2005, Sergio played his first match for the Spain national team and became its youngest player over the last 60 years. After a successful defence display in one of the key matches of the FIFA World Cup 2006 Ramos got a place in the main squad and played a key role as a defender of the national team.

In summer 2005, Ramos became a player of Real Madrid in a transfer worth almost 30 million euros. Many great football clubs of the world wanted to have him on their roster, however, only Real Madrid did not begrudge money and got a talented and devoted player in return. Last year, Sergio signed a new contract with the club according to which he will be with Real Madrid till 2017 and will get 4.5 million euros a season.

Sergio Ramos is a universal defence player. He is excellent at winning the ball, has good speed and plays good with his head. His main position is wingback, but recently coaches actively use him as central defender and box-to-box midfielder.

During his relatively not long career Sergio Ramos played more than 300 matches in different competitions, managed to win gold medals of the FIFA World Cup and theUEFA Euro. The majority of Sergio’s goals were jumping headers under pressure which is no wonder for a defender of good height.
